Hawaii - March 20-23, 2008

Hawaii was amazing. Now that I've been back for a little while, it seems like a dream that we were even there. We went snorkeling, kayaking, got massages, and relaxed in the sun. We ate some amazing food and I met some amazing people. Most of Anh's friends happen to be surgeons or in the medical field. All very smart and fun people. It was nice to get away from the LA scene. I do love LA, but taking a break is very necessary.

Mark and Julie's wedding couldn't have gone better. Before we left to Hawaii, we'd heard weather reports that it was supposed to rain. Then the weather man changed his mind and told us it'd sprinkle. It did sprinkle, the last last day we were there it sprinkled... more like drizzled, for about 10 minutes.
The rehearsal dinner was on the Hyatt property right near the beach. We were literally right next to the ocean. We ate and socialed with the wedding guests.

For the wedding, which was also at the Hyatt, the ceremony began around 4:00 PM. Mark, who is Asian, had quite a lot of his Aunts there. Typical Asians, they pulled out their cameras and started snapping shots during the ceremony. I found it even more hilarious that they weren't taking pictures of Mark and Julie but rather of their families sitting in the audience.

Once the reception began, the sun started setting. It couldn't have been more beautiful reflecting off the massive ocean. Afterwards we danced and then went out to the hotel's club to celebrate.

We had a wonderful time.
